Qualified counselling supervisor based in Fleet, Hampshire

I am a fully qualified supervisor, holding a Diploma in Counselling Supervision.

As an accredited member of BACP I abide by its ethical framework, including the requirement to take my case work to supervision on a regular basis.

My overarching supervision model is The Seven-Eyed Supervisor (Hawkins and Shohet, 1989). My aim is to help my supervisees explore all aspects of their case work. I am informed by Page and Wosket's Cyclical Model (2001) which encourages me to offer collaboration, affirmation and containment.

Life experience is one of my strengths as a supervisor. I am in my mid-sixties and have led a full and interesting life. I have been counselling for over 20 years, using an integrative approach drawn from Psychodynamic, Person Centred and CBT approaches. I taught counselling to Diploma level at Farnborough College for seven years and have a degree in counselling.

I believe all of this enhances my awareness and ability to empathise with both clients and supervisees. I have a good grasp of theory and keep myself updated with regular, on-going professional development. This means I can help supervisees, particularly counselling students, increase their understanding of theory and apply it to their own work.

I understand college counselling course requirements and can help student supervisees undertake it. I can also help supervisees negotiate the accreditation process for professional counselling bodies.

I offer professional counselling services to help people cope with everything from marital problems to anxiety.
